SONGS, SONGS, SONGS...

HERO by mariah carey

There’s a Hero
If you look inside your heart
You don’t have to be afraid of what you are
There’s an answer if you reach into your soul
And the sorrow that you know will melt away

And then a Hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you finally see the truth
That a Hero lies in you

It’s a long road when you face the world alone
No one reaches out a hand for you to hold
You can find love if you search within urself
And that emptiness you felt
Will disappear

Bridge
Lord knows
Dreams are hard to follow
Don’t let anyone
Tear them away
Hold on
There will be tmrw
In time you’ll find the way

Looking at this song in a different light and meaning altogether, I find it such an inspiration… take note of the H in the hero being in capitals… what do you figure? Ponder on it again, with Jesus taking the place of the “hero” in this song, beautiful meaning =p eheh, sorry, I’m such a music person, that every song I listen to, I tend to look deep into the lyrics… and often times I find “isi tersirat” behind the original *winkz*

EVERYTIME YOU TOUCH ME by diana ross

I wanna call the stars down from the sky
I wanna live a day that never dies
I wanna change the world only for you
All the impossible I wanna do

I wanna hold you close under the rain
I wanna kiss your smile and feel the pain
I wanna what’s beautiful looking at you
In a world of lies you are the truth

And baby
Every time you touch me
I become a hero
I’ll make you safe no matter where you are

And bring you
Everything you ask for
Nothing is above me
I’m shining like a candle in the dark
When you tell me that you love me

I wanna make you see juz what I was
Show you the loneliness and what it does
You walked into my life to stop my tears
Everything’s easy now I have you here

And baby
Every time you touch me
I become a hero
I’ll make you safe no matter where you are

And bring you
Everything you ask for
Nothing is above me
I’m shining like a candle in the dark
When you tell me that you love me

In a world without you
I would always hunger
All I need is your love to make me stronger

Ahhh, as for this one, I juz love the lyrics in itself… so sweeeet XD *lol* love it the original way, not salt and pepper added, kekeke… pls excuse me, I’m juz being “high”, don’t know why, hahaha… probably got the “high”—ness from cell yesterday, haha… ooh, and speaking of cell, t’was really a great time of soaking in His presence during worship!! Tho it was a simple time of worship by juliet, but towards the closing, j-son took over and led us into deeper communion with the Lord, and I cannot deny that it was so truly refreshing, somehow esp yesterday, haha… could really feel His presence in that place! Goosebumps, hehehe… All the more when we moved into the last song ABOVE ALL… in the whole of the song, t’was only the LAST sentence that really “hit” me… AND THOUGHT OF ME, ABOVE ALL

A couple of things that I’ve been praying about have seemed to be stagnant, probably it’s not His timing yet, I don’t know… and with that, like I said, the last sentence of the song not only “hit” me, but brought a different light altogether as He conveyed those things to me while I was worshipping Him, and reminded me that “He thought of me above all”!! of course I’m still hopeful, but knowing His word says “My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways…… and My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts”, I am surrendered, hehe *winkz*

ABOVE ALL

Above all powers, above all kings
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
You were here before the world began

Above all kingdoms, above all thrones
Above all wonders the world has ever known
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There’s no way to measure what You’re worth

Crucified
Laid behind the stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me above all
