Can I say keeping a blog somehow helps improve your writing? I won’t call it skills because then one has to be super good at it, and I’m way behind this in terms of flow of ideas, grammar and sentence-structuring, haha… I juz write what comes to mind, and that’s really not enough to qualify yet when the flow, the grammar and the structuring still needs room for improvement, eheh =p It’s almost a year since I started a blog… first with xanga, afterwhich I decided blogspot was better *winkz* To me, writing is something I find quite fulfilling sometimes… No idea why, and don’t know how to explain that, haha… but I never knew that people could see the liking for writing in me… hmm…
Anyways, evie approached me asking whether I would be interested to write an article for “SURGE”. That’s a weekly e-newsletter that cell members would receive in dumc… as far as I know, this article would be forwarded to various cells in a certain sub-zone… it is in fact a ministry, a writing ministry, that was established roughly 4 to 5 years back… it starts with the prayer intercessors down to the cell prayer secretary, who will then forward the article (or anything at all that has got to do with prayer) to the cell members… each cell has a person who is responsible for mobilizing & rallying prayer in the cell, working in concert with his/her cell leader, and this person is called the prayer sec…
“SURGE” is an article where one can find stories of encouragement, explanation & elaboration of the promises of God from the Bible, which could also be a way to challenge us to improve our spiritual walk with the Lord and to take His Word seriously… divided into 3 sections, the first is SURGE, which gives a short explanation of the main theme for that week… then down to the PROMISE section which consist of verses from the Bible and the promises of God that comes with it… and last but not least the HEARTCRY section which, most of the time, are testimonies contributed by cell members, or anyone at all, to bless God’s people… and yea, praise God for giving me the opportunity to be able to contribute and bless hearts…
Indeed, I was nervous because I have never written something that was to be published for everyone to read… I asked evie if this would be forwarded to all in the church, and she said “only to certain zones.” *Phew* doesn’t sound too bad, haha… so, yea, I agreed to contribute… and it was really by faith AND BY GOD’S GRACE becoz when I agreed to her, my head was still blank about what to write, because the title did sound abit too deep… in fact, what I had in mind doesn’t sound right for this week’s title, eheh… somehow, somewhere it was Him who helped me blend in to the theme… ooh, and inspiration from Him, whoa!! Without Him putting words in my head, it really wouldn’t have turned out the way it is… PRAISE THE LORD!!

Tho it was a simple time of worship by juliet, but towards the closing, j-son took over and led us into deeper communion with the Lord, and I cannot deny that it was so truly refreshing, somehow esp yesterday, haha… could really feel His presence in that place! Goosebumps, hehehe… All the more when we moved into the last song ABOVE ALL… in the whole of the song, t’was only the LAST sentence that really “hit” me… AND THOUGHT OF ME, ABOVE ALL…
A couple of things that I’ve been praying about have seemed to be stagnant, probably it’s not His timing yet, I don’t know… and with that, like I said, the last sentence of the song not only “hit” me, but brought a different light altogether as He conveyed those things to me while I was worshipping Him, and reminded me that “He thought of me above all”!! of course I’m still hopeful, but knowing His word says “My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways…… and My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts”, I am surrendered, hehe *winkz*

HALF OF EACH!!
Someone recently asked me, “so are you with grace or dumc now?” that’s coz she knew about my joining one of dumc’s YA cell… otherwise, the question would’ve been, “so you still joining ss2 cell?” haha… well, I really thought deep, and found myself still not knowing how to answer that question… whenever people ask me which church am I attending, it’s easy to give em my biggest smile and proudly say, “grace pj!” [yes, I’m indeed really very proud of this church… not so much the things I do there, but the fact that it is well nurtured by a very mission-minded senior pastor] same thing with cell… it’s only 3 months plus and I’ve gotten so used to the “ooh-I’m-with-the-praisegivers” response, but yet I didn’t take enuff time to think of the appropriate answer or whether it was ever an acceptable reason in the eyes of others if that question was ever thrown at me…
But then again, who cares what people say, as long as I know this decision comes from the Lord Himself… Yes, I used to be so conscious about what people will think of me, so much so I tend to make decisions based on what they will say rather than what I feel is right… well, not anymore!! I’m juz so sick and tired of the fact that, if you’re not following the so-called rules closely (and correctly), you’ll tend to be the hot topic for the day… Arrrgghh, what the ---- Why should I live my life worrying about what others will say and think of me? Remember last year’s theme? Ahaha
Some asked, “how can you be splitted in two places, as in serving in one and worshipping and growing in another?? Don’t the doctrines differ? Which will you be following then?” well, my questions back to you, “aint Jesus the same no matter which church you go?? And which is more important, personal walk with the Lord and ministry of my service to Him, or juz for the sake of going with the flow? or have you ever thought about the importance of placing urself in an environment where it brings out the best in you?” if I can have the benefit of both places, AND give of myself in both places, why not?? Haha =p
Yes, I’m half here and half there… so what? Wahahaha *winkz* Juz so wish that I could be there for my first home evangelism aka home e (dumc’s version of harvest event) tonight and the easter production on sunday, but juz coz of this chicken pox… issshh!! *lol* hope they’re having fun tho, ehehee… Go, PraiseGivers!! Rock on for Jesus!!

ITCHING LIKE NO BODY’S BUSINESS!!
Itch itch here, itch itch there, itch itch everywhere!! Gosh, it’s seriously killing me!! No kiddin!!
First it was the headache and giddiness on Sunday night over to Monday morning. Having planned for an outing with Wai Ling and Chee Keong (fondly known as CK) for that morning itself, I didn’t wanna cancel it again as it has been quite a while that we discussed about it, but didn’t get down to it. So I didn’t wanna spoil the plan by calling it off. Now off we go, the 3 of us, together wif CK’s mom, headed for a time out at MVM. I wonder if it’s due to the virus oredi in me, and then got exposed to some germs or bacteria.
Anyways, side track a bit... Some pics for the eye *winkz* as usual, kekeke =p
Some quick shots right after the movie, before heading for lunch... Wai Ling's supposed to be in the pic as well, but she plainly refused this time around... Dont know why, haih =p ok, fine, next mission is to fill our growling stomachs, so leave it up to them to recommend... of all places, MVM is one spot where my family will choose to avoid, so that explains my unfamiliarity, wahaha... so, they decide, i juz tag along... So final decision? Little Vietnam *winkz* cool... and for a first-timer like me, i'll juz be satisfied with watever i'm blessed... my responsibility is to settle the bill at the end of the day and make sure everyone's happy, hehe =p

The fever and headache started taking effect the minute i got home from this outing, haiyo... hahaha, but thank God it was after everything... and it was on and off… In fact it shot up to 39C on weds!! One more degree and I’m over to the dangerous level… quickly, I decide to go take some rest, and as I was restlessly lying there, the word chicken pox came to mind, so immediately got outta bed again to check the signs and symptoms of it from the net… expectedly, they all matched!! and true enuff, after confirming with my doctor uncle, chicken pox is the very answer... Oh dear, why didn’t I get it earlier, way back when I was still working in Beautiful Gate? A couple of them were down with it back to back, and with hope that I would oso get it, i deliberately hung around them, but tak kena, haih… the itch started taking effect last night, and believe me, it’s torturous, cudnt sleep well at all the whole night =( It’s only the second day and I cudnt take it oredi?? How am I gonna last two weeks?? Arrrgghh!! Can you imagine how bad it’s gonna be with the pox all over your mouth?? I mean inside the mouth!! Darn, so uncomfortable!! And with the medication all over my body, I seriously look like a white-spotted clown *lol* I juz wish no one will pop by with the reason of visiting me =p and when my mom reminded me about it, I seriously hope the PraiseGivers would not gimme a heart-attack-surprise visit, haha…
Friends advised me on things to do and not to do, food to take and not to take. A couple of em were juz there to keep me company while I worked my morning shift before taking a half day leave, thanx people *winkz* you know who you are… the sad thing is, I’d missed work at JICA on weds, then postponed to today… but lit’s obvious I’ve missed it again =( not only that, I might most probably miss DUMC’s TOY SYMPHONY easter production!! Again?? Isshh!! Chicken pox punya pasal!!
All in all, I’m having fun sleeping and resting most of the time of the day, wahaha… 11.00pm, off to bed again, kekeke…
