Sunny Good Friday

 

My mom sent a message in the family chat
At 3pm just now saying, "It's raining now" 
But how come it's so bright and sunny here?

Ooh, I heard they say, 

"It rains every Good Friday afternoon,

Because on this day 2000yrs ago

When our beloved Jesus made

That huge sacrifice for us on the cross,

It poured like mad."

Made a mental note after that

To keep a record if it really rains on every Good Friday...

But today's record says sunshine? Hmm...

It's too bright to look for hints of Mr. Rain...

Google says,

"Good Friday is an official public holiday

In the states of Sabah & Sarawak, East Malaysia.

Easter is the most ancient of Christian festivals,

Older than Christmas,

And is considered

The most important date in the Christian calendar."

Ooh and, you know what?

Good Friday is an official Public Holiday

For the Sarawakians 😜😜

THE RIGHT THING AT THE RIGHT TIME

 

Put a frog into a vessel, fill with water and start heating the water... What will happen?

• As the temperature of the water begins to rise, the frog adjusts its body temperature accordingly.

• The frog keeps adjusting its body temperature with the increasing temperature of the water. Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog cannot adjust anymore. At this point, the frog decides to jump out.

• The frog tries to jump, but it is unable to do so because it has lost all its strength in adjusting to the rising water temperature. Very soon the frog dies.

What killed the frog? Think about it.

Many of us will say "the boiling water". But the truth is: it is its own inability to decide WHEN to jump out.

Yes, we all need to adjust to people and situations. But we need to be sure WHEN we need to adjust or WHEN we need to move on. There are times when we need to face the situation and take appropriate actions.

If we allow people to exploit us physically, emotionally, financially, spiritually or mentally, they will continue to do so.

Let us DECIDE WHEN to jump! Let's jump when we still have the strength.

I spotted a Chinese family already makan-ing...

To which the hubby replied,

"This is Sarawak. 文化不一样 😷😷

"而且，我都给你讲过，我们这里早一个小时开斋"

Seriously, everything is an hour earlier here, haha...
