News can be good, it can be bad… Anticipation of a good one sees a person’s mood elevating in excitement, but a bad one can help ruin the rest of the day… This time I’d say it’s a bit of both, but very much more to the good, of course *winkz* After worship, both my cell leader and assistant got together for a one-minute-discussion, whispering to each other, leaving us wondering what they were up to.. Finally, when they turned back to face us:
j-son (cell leader) : ok, connor.. I say one word you say one word =)
connor (asst cell leader) : sure, you start =)
j-son : ok, PraiseGivers, we have an announcement to make, & here goes… WE
connor : ARE
j-son : GOING
connor : TO
j-son : MULTIPLY!!
I bet I saw expressions on a few faces changed… No doubt multiplication is hard, especially after having gotten to know each other better and when the bond is already there… but without growth, a cell can literally be considered “dead.” Yes, when I heard some hints about this issue from j-son some time earlier, I was bargaining with God to drag it a lil longer, haha… I was only halfway through getting to know them, and we’ll be separated already? But then again, having personally been in a cell for 9 years now, it’s pretty obvious I should know that multiplication is the only way to keep a healthy cell growing *winkz*
An ideal cell should consist no more than 10 members max… this is to achieve maximum results in terms of relationship and spiritual growth, where the leaders could effectively monitor and shepherd their sheeps to greater heights not only in Christ but also physically (means the relationship with one another within the circle) and emotionally (means the maturity of each member)… it gives the leaders a better chance to see to each member’s needs individually and have a personal follow-up if need be… this way, the members would feel the personal touch and understand that the leaders do actually care… Anyhow, if there isnt any such personal fellowship, the members shouldn't assume or take it for granted that the leaders don’t love them or care for them =p
It was only recently, November I think, that they multiplied out from the mother cell, the Father’s Garden, and now we’ll see the birth of another… so, what’s the new name gonna be?? Haha… WorldChangers? HistoryMakers? Ooh, all ideas are welcomed, yea? Haha… Woohoo, all glory goes to God!! J-son and Connor, great job!! The rest of the PraiseGivers, even if we have multiplied and gained a new name, I pray and hope that this name PraiseGivers will forever remain in our hearts… that no matter what the circumstances will be, we will always give praise to His name… Amen?? Go PraiseGivers, love you guys!! J-son and Connor, keep up the good work *winkz*
