Scouted around, made some enquiries and found out from my chat buddy, alvin toh, that it wouldn’t be a usual cell night but rather they were planning for a hang-out… his cell leader debbie, being more of an oikos- and fellowship-oriented person, had planned for an outing… so I seized the opportunity to get to know them better and I definitely had fun the whole night even though it was only watching and listening to their conversations and periodically laughing at some siau-ness they portrayed, haha… movie was first in the agenda, dinner followed… both equally good, movie and food, wahaha XD but if you were to ask me, I’d say Poseidon is okay, but not quite as good as Titanic… the latter was so much more exhilarating, hehe =p but still it was good…
Dinner was kinda delayed due to the waiting, haha… we had to queue up and wait for our table name to be called… hmm, how well known is this place actually?? Well, alvin said that people blogged so much about it, and that goes to show that this place really is something, haha… no websites to link you to it though but go google it at Yuen Buffet Steamboat, haha… The best part about the steamboat buffet dinner was they served ice creams *winkz* with UNLIMITED helpings, woohoo… since this dinner was being treated for, I thought it wudnt be nice if I took so little (not worth the price then)… so I enjoyed the steamboat as much as I could to the max… stopped where I couldn’t, gave my stomach a rest and resumed again a while later with refills and refills of ice creams and I seriously enjoyed dinner becoz of the unlimited ice creams, haha… too bad, I didn’t have a cam with me then… debbie suggested that they should take a group pic, including the food to show my cell leader j-son that I was having as much fun with Father’s Garden, too *lol* no doubt I did, and lemme tell you, just by observing and listening to them was fun enough… there isnt a need for me to say or talk much (that’s me anyway, being super shy if it was my first time with some new frens I seldom hung out with) =p
(*note: no, I didn’t take those pics!! Stole them from somewhere *lol*)
Actually, alvin challenged my quiet nature… he’s my online buddy who keeps me company all through the day when I worked from home… having commented that I’m a very chatty person and since we have been chatting sooo much online, he refused to believe that I have a very quiet personality in person… (we have only met up 3 times so far, I think, which explains why he cudn't believe I was a quiet person by nature) all through dinner, I just listened and laughed at their conversations and jokes but did not talk much… I held back from laughing when he said I was AWFULLY quiet that night, unlike online, haha… it really depends on how you perceive me and how well you know me *winkz* I can't deny that one of the benefits I got from being “awfully” quiet was that I got to know so much about them without them thinking that I was being inquisitive by trying to be nosy, talking and asking so much questions =p
All in all, I definitely enjoyed their company… hoping that both the cells, mother and daughter cell, would come up with something that we could do together more often… for now, I wanna hear what Father’s Garden cell leader have to say about me to the Praise Givers’ cell leader… hahaha XD
